Job summary

Cosentino's Price Chopper #102 KCMO in Kansas City, MO is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to lead multiple departments and drive store performance. You will supervise daily operations, coach staff, and ensure customer service excellence across the team.

Reporting to the Store Director, this exempt, on-site role requires 2+ years of management experience in food service or retail, a valid driver’s license, and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience in food service, retail, or grocery.
• Valid driver’s license required for deliveries.
• Food handling permit must be obtained within 14 days of employment.
• Liquor license required prior to first day of work (if applicable).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of all departments to ensure operational effectiveness and motivation.
• Promote teamwork, morale, interpersonal communication and recognition of good performance.
• Coach, take corrective actions, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Address employee relations issues with Human Resources as needed.
• Hire the highest quality candidates through effective interviewing.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and escalate when needed.
• Adhere to Cosentino Customer Service Standards.
• Manage labor costs while balancing service with expenditures.
• Monitor quality across departments and maintain productivity standards.
• Promote new items and weekly specials through merchandising and displays.
• Operate, clean, and maintain equipment safely and competently.
• Comply with health regulations and safety procedures for all store areas.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills with customers and peers.
• Show basic math and reading skills essential for the role.
