Job summary

Community Choice Financial Family of Brands in Columbia, SC is hiring an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to support customers with financial needs and run a store. You’ll develop leadership skills by driving account management, outreach, and risk management in a performance-driven, people-first environment.

You’ll participate in training, cross-brand opportunities, and a path to promotion. The role requires full-time, in-person work with a 40-hour week and weekend presence.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year’s experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
• At least 3 months of supervisory, key holder, or relevant leadership experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using phones, POS system, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Maximize customer success by offering financial services that fit their needs.
• Assess risk of financial transactions, evaluate, and accurately process loan/pawn applications, check cashing transactions and ancillary products.
• Complete daily call campaigns to market services, build new business, and nurture customer relationships.
• Oversee account management and recovery processes, including collection calls, while maintaining a focus on customer service to prevent loss and charge off accounts.
• Maintain customer information in the POS system with accuracy and integrity.
• Provide support, coaching, and development to Customer Service Representatives.
• Work to meet Company-set performance standards by leveraging business-to-business partnership opportunities.
• Maintain office security protocols and conduct opening/closing procedures including vault management.
