Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and coach a team in a fast-paced NAPA store environment. You will support the Store Manager across all functions while maintaining active customer-facing roles.

This developmental role may require overtime and keyholder responsibilities, including opening and closing duties to ensure store continuity and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE certifications are a plus.
• Experience in automotive aftermarket or parts store management is preferred.
• Leadership experience with people management and coaching.
• Comfort with fast-paced retail and handling inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health, and labor alignment.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across retail and dealer channels.
• Model expected behaviors and customer service standards.
• Oversee opening/closing routines, cash reconciliation and end-of-day reporting.
• Handle scheduling, compliance documentation, and performance tracking.
• Monitor store metrics: sales, inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction, and loss prevention.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and succession planning for store functions.
