Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the NAPA retail store operations, drive sales and deliver outstanding customer care. You will support the Store Manager across all functions while maintaining active customer-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

This developmental role focuses on coaching, performance management and ensuring continuity of store operations, including counter sales, receiving, scheduling and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and leadership roles within fast-paced retail or automotive environments.
• Familiarity with inventory management and sales execution.
• Ability to train, coach, and develop team members for performance improvement.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution and labor planning.
• Drive customer relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Oversee opening/closing routines, cash reconciliation and end-of-day reporting.
• Support scheduling, compliance docs, performance tracking and basic P&L awareness.
• Monitor store metrics and coach the team to improve sales, inventory accuracy and cleanliness.
• Provide leadership, training and succession development for store functions.
