Job summary

Ace Retail Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee overall store operations and drive achievement of company goals in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead customer service excellence, supervise staff, and ensure safety and efficiency across the store.

Key responsibilities include opening/closing the store, implementing programs, and maintaining performance with loss prevention and audits.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, manufacture assembly directions, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration and motivate others both internal and external to perform enthusiastically.
• Standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50lbs) regularly, and lifting (up to 100lbs) occasionally with assistance, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive representation of Ace Retail Group to customers and associates.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems and greet customers entering and throughout the store.
• Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Work with General Manager on all aspects of running the store and participate in weekly management staff meetings.
• Implement new Standard Operating Procedures for store execution and oversee daily maintenance, cleanliness of sales floor and stockroom.
