Job summary

ALFRED is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Larchmont cafe to support daily operations and team development under the Cafe Manager. You will help manage scheduling, training, inventory, and shift execution while maintaining hospitality, accountability, and teamwork.

The role emphasizes leading by example, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and upholding food safety and service standards in a fast-paced environment. Growth and collaboration are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Previous cafe, coffee, or restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Passion for hospitality and working in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Flexibility to attend occasional trainings or team meetings outside of scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support scheduling and staffing adjustments with the Cafe Manager.
• Assist with coaching and developing team members.
• Model Alfred’s values and standards in daily operations.
• Ensure high-quality customer service and guest engagement.
• Oversee cash handling, opening/closing, and POS responsibilities.
• Help manage inventory and deliveries and maintain safety standards.
• Foster a positive team culture and effective communication.
