Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Killingly, CT to support the Store Manager in sales, service, and operations. You will lead a team, manage customer interactions, and ensure store readiness during manager absences.

The role emphasizes coaching, hiring support, and adherence to company procedures. Responsibilities include supervising service levels, assisting with recruiting, and ensuring accurate processing of orders and returns.

Qualifications

• Must have Sales Specialist Training.
• Must have Assistant Manager Certification.
• Must have RSS Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
• Certified Parts Professional Certification and ASE Certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering exceptional customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and execute customer service programs.
• Coordinate staffing for peak hours to ensure service levels.
• Assist the store manager with goal setting, coaching, and staff development.
• Support hiring processes with interviews and candidate evaluation.
• Ensure timely processing of buy online/ship to store and transfers.
• Manage returns, exchanges, and refunds effectively and accurately.
• Ensure all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure compliance with schedules and clock-ins across the team.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and secure cash handling.
