Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role includes assisting with day-to-day activities, helping customers, and ensuring merchandise flow from delivery to sale floor while maintaining seasonal areas.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean, and organized store per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure compliance by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
