Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Macon, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service excellence, and team development.

You will assist with opening and closing procedures, organize merchandise, and ensure a clean, well-stocked selling floor in accordance with company standards. You will mentor Store Associates, help enforce policies, and protect assets while delivering a positive, safe shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; read, interpret and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain promo storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged merchandise.
• Keep store areas neat, stocked and secure assets.
• Enforce safety policies and lead associates with professional and friendly interactions.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
