Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Columbus, GA location. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure the storefront and stockroom meet company standards.

The role includes opening/closing duties, payroll/scheduling support, loss prevention, and fostering a positive, safe workplace while maintaining professional interactions with customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication is required.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling activities.
• Maintain clean, organized store and ensure promotional displays.
• Assist in supervising and developing store associates.
