Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Georgia is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with opening/closing procedures, merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and help supervise and train store associates to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics, etc.) is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional areas
• Assist in ordering merchandise and payroll/scheduling records
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized store areas
• Protect company assets including cash
• Lead and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment
• Maintain bathrooms and general cleanliness
• Other duties as assigned
