Job summary

GPM Investments is seeking an Assistant Manager for Uncle's in Big Spring, TX. This full-time role covers customer service, store operations, and leadership on multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays.

You will supervise cash handling, scheduling, inventory, and staff development, while ensuring a clean, welcoming store and strong upsell of promotions. Open availability and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have open availability including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and proof of insurance.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning, trash duties and outdoor pump maintenance.
• Minimum age 21+.
• Proficient English communication and basic math skills.
• Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Run the register and assist customers with speed and accuracy.
• Coach and motivate team to upsell products and promotions.
• Help hire, train, and lead a high-performing team.
• Step in as acting manager when the Store Manager is off.
• Handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising to keep stock.
• Maintain a clean store, including restrooms and pumps.
• Create and manage team schedules for full coverage.
• Perform daily cash handling and deposits.
• Provide leadership to motivate the team to excel.
• Other duties as assigned.
