Job summary

Foot Locker in Baton Rouge is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead with energy and ownership, supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and coaching the team. You will help create a great customer experience and ensure store execution aligns with brand standards.

You will oversee daily operations, coach staff, and step in as Manager on Duty when scheduled. Competitive hourly pay with bonus incentives and employee benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in leadership roles.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor to meet goals and deliver excellent service.
• Coach teammates to provide great service, share product knowledge, and keep customers excited to shop.
• Support daily store operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Serve as a leader on duty, assist in hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
