Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening and closing procedures.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, ensure compliance with policies, protect assets, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Ability to lift and perform physical tasks as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store displays and assets; protect cash and company property.
• Assist in ordering, inventory, payroll records, scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe, respectful environment.
