Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and ensure displays are well-maintained.

In this role you will help organize merchandise, supervise associates under the Store Manager, and maintain a safe, clean environment while delivering friendly service that aligns with company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets and adhere to safety policies.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team members.
• Ensure cleanliness of store areas including restrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
