Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, oversee merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor, and ensure seasonal areas are well maintained—while participating in opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and coworkers
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
