Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service and mentor team members in Kenner, Louisiana.

You will assist with merchandising, open and close procedures, support loss prevention, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment while aligning with corporate directives.

This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving to meet store goals and promote career growth within Dollar Tree.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for merchandising impact.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, swept and mopped floors, and neat overall appearance.
• Other duties as assigned.
