Dollar Tree in Amityville, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development. This role supports the Store Manager in day-to-day functions and compliance with company policies.

You will lead by example, train associates, manage opening and closing procedures, and assist with merchandise organization, losses prevention, and guest interactions. This position is part-time with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform various physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment
• Other duties as assigned*
