Family Dollar in Ridgeland, MS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the store team.

You will assist with merchandising, scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and training Store Associates while ensuring safety, policy compliance, and a positive, welcoming environment for customers. This full-time role offers opportunities for growth and hands-on leadership in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, record-keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and deposits), and loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager.
