Job summary

GIRE's Fourth Street Store in Santa Rosa, CA seeks an Assistant Store Manager. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, lead staff and volunteers, and drive performance with a positive public image. This full-time role is safety-sensitive and offers benefits.

You will supervise Store Leads and associates, maintain inventory standards, and contribute to budget goals while ensuring safety and customer service excellence in a donated goods environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ supervisory/management experience.
• High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Good math skills.
• Experience supervising or training employees, clients, or volunteers.
• Ability to handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints tactfully.
• Valid CA Class C Driver’s License and proof of personal auto insurance.
• Access to a reliable passenger vehicle and a phone for calls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations in coordination with the Store Manager.
• Train staff and volunteers, ensuring policy adherence and safety.
• Maintain inventory quality standards and department metrics.
• Manage payroll records and assist with budget goals.
• Resolve issues with team members and donors promptly and professionally.
• Promote a positive work environment and uphold store ethics.
