Job summary

Design Within Reach (MillerKnoll) is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead in the absence of the General Manager and drive store performance. You will balance client interactions, leadership initiatives, coaching, training, and talent acquisition while partnering with the General Manager to hit sales targets.

You will mentor Sales Assistants and interns, support design standards, and help educate clients on product stories and details. This role reports to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with direct reports, peers, and studio clientele.
• Proficiency with MS Office software, web navigation, and 3-D rendering programs.

Responsibilities

• Grow your business weekly by managing the full client lifecycle to meet/exceed sales goals.
• Assist in maintaining store design and visual standards using merchandising guidelines.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations.
• Travel for in-home client consultations and visits to local trade professionals.
• Attend store meetings, product training, and use the website/catalog to increase product knowledge and awareness.
• Directly manage all Sales Assistants and Studio Interns.
