Job summary

Design Within Reach is seeking an Assistant Manager in Pittsburgh to lead the store in the absence of the General Manager. You will coach sales staff, cultivate client relationships, and help achieve sales goals while maintaining design standards.

You will travel for in-home consultations and collaborate with leadership on training and talent development, reporting to the General Manager. This role blends sales coaching with design education and operational execution.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to build relationships and trust with staff and clients.
• Proficiency with MS Office software and basic design tools.
• Familiarity with 3-D rendering programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow the business weekly by leveraging company programs to meet sales goals.
• Maintain store design and visual standards per merchandising guidelines.
• Create client floor plans and design presentations for clients.
• Travel for in-home consultations and visits to trade professionals.
• Attend store meetings and product trainings; deepen product knowledge.
• Directly supervise Sales Assistants and Studio Interns.
