Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Massachusetts LLC is seeking a part-time team member to assist with daily store operations and customer service at our Massachusetts location. You will help organize, stock, and transfer merchandise from delivery to the sales floor, while maintaining seasonal displays and store cleanliness.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Retail store or grocery experience preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 55 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure store assets.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment and supervise/train Store Associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste.
• Other duties as assigned.
