Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service excellence, and team development at our Sylvester, GA location. The role involves assisting with merchandise organization, opening/closing duties, payroll & scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring safety and excellent customer experiences.

The position requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and prior store management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cashier deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
