Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Savannah, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver strong customer service, and develop team members. You will assist with merchandise presentation, open/close procedures, and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure associates follow policies
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store areas are neat and presentable and bathrooms are cleaned and restocked
• Other duties as assigned
