Job summary

Family Dollar in Lubbock, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver strong customer service, and develop the team. This part-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and proven communication and problem-solving skills.

You will support inventory, merchandising, opening/closing, and adherence to policies to ensure a safe, welcoming shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide friendly customer service and answer questions.
• Manage merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Open and close store as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain attractive fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged goods and payroll/scheduling.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Train and develop store associates and supervise as needed.
• Maintain safe, positive environment for customers and staff.
• Any other duties as assigned.
