Job summary

Dollar Tree in Clovis, California is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, help customers, manage merchandise flow, schedule staff, and uphold safety and company policies.

This role offers hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to train associates and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail/store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive, approachable manner.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, organized stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and adhere to safety policies.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
