Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development in Chireno, Texas. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise handling, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and safe environment for customers and associates.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, plus the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform related physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, records like payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
