Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Hazleton, PA location. The role involves handling daily store activities, assisting with merchandise organization, and ensuring a clean, orderly sales floor.

You will help supervise and train store associates, maintain safety and company policies, and contribute to a positive work environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record-keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
