Job summary

Family Dollar in Gallup, NM seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and support stockroom-to-floor transfers.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, following corporate directives, maintaining displays, and assisting in payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention. A part-time schedule and ADA accommodations apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
