Job description

Our Assistant Store Managers are front-line brand ambassadors representing Check N Go, Allied Cash Advance, or Cash Store, all part of the CNG Holdings, Inc., family of companies. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Serving and educating customers on the product portfolio by presenting all options that meet their needs.
  2. Escalating issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), and corporate office if unable to resolve directly with the customer.
  3. Answering inquiries via telephone regarding questions, applications, requests, or other issues.
  4. Performing outbound sales, courtesy, and collection calls in accordance with regulations and store expectations.
  5. Responding professionally to customers, explaining solutions, and ensuring they feel supported and valued.
  6. Interacting with customers using active listening to confirm or clarify information and diffuse complaints.
  7. Handling cash, managing a cash drawer, deposits, and other cash handling tasks, possibly including bank deposits or pickups.
  8. Balancing daily receipts with sales reports and resolving discrepancies.
  9. Verifying customer information during transactions such as loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  10. Processing transactions accurately per company policy.
  11. Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
  12. Completing required compliance training and quarterly acknowledgments timely.
  13. Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling preferred.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
  • Reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Willingness to live and embrace core values of accountability, inclusiveness, transparency, and focus.
Physical Demands:
  • Work in a retail/office environment with extended phone usage and standing periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel within the district.
  • Work shifts as scheduled.
