Assistant Managers support the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience.

Description

Responsibilities

• Manage the store team’s Guest Service behaviors, providing coaching to ensure friendly greetings and a welcoming environment.
• Support the Store Manager in building and developing a strong team through training, scheduling, coaching, and fostering engagement.
• Partner with Store Manager to achieve operational excellence and meet financial goals.
• Assist with store appearance, cleanliness, and maintenance of food service areas, delegating tasks as needed.
• Monitor product levels, rotate stock, and ensure product availability to meet company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or in their absence.

Working Relationships: Store team members, Store Manager, District Manager, corporate personnel, vendors.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of retail or food service experience; completion of Assistant Manager Training program required.
• Preferred experience in retail, guest service, or restaurant leadership roles.
• ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Soft Skills: Interacting with guests and team, high energy, multitasking, team-oriented, computer skills helpful.

Scheduling: Primarily second shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Hours & Conditions: Full-time, up to 40 hours/week.

Travel: 5-10% for store coverage and meetings; must have own vehicle for deposits.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand/walk for 8 hours, work in cool environments.

Other: Food establishment attire required.

Additional Info: Previous retail management or equivalent experience, stable work history, proficient computer skills preferred.
