Position Purpose:

Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the various responsibilities and functions of roles such as Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They will learn how to support the Store Manager in developing strategies and objectives to drive store sales and profitability, and how to achieve these through effective leadership and communication with associates.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Supervise associates in selling efforts, ensure the store's in-stock position, and maintain an appealing and organized store appearance. Support staffing, scheduling, resolving stock deficiencies, and customer issues.
2. Supervising Store Associates: Involve interviewing, hiring, motivating, coaching, training, developing, and communicating with associates. Learn performance management and disciplinary processes.
3. Operations Management: Oversee front-end processes, special services, lot support, receiving, freight, and store equipment and systems. Manage daily financial operations and ensure safety compliance.
4. Business Analysis and Merchandise Planning: Drive profitability through sales trend analysis, collaborate with partners on merchandise placement, signing, and inventory management.

Reporting Structure:

Report to a Store Manager. Upon completing training, gradually assume supervisory responsibilities.

Additional Details:

• Travel: Less than 10% overnight travel.
• Physical Requirements: Mostly sitting with occasional moving or lifting light articles.
• Working Conditions: Indoor, comfortable environment with infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience.
