As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting the Store Manager in daily operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers positively, answering questions and resolving concerns.
• Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure the store is clean and well-stocked for customers.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar practices under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Help in ordering merchandise and managing records, including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, with physical activity including walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, and relationship management.
