Goodwill Maple Valley is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead retail operations and drive sales with a focus on excellent customer service and compliance. You will supervise a team of hourly staff and store supervisors, ensuring accurate cash handling and safe operations.
The role reports to the Store Manager and partners across departments to meet budget and performance goals. This position offers an hourly rate with eligibility for benefits and growth within Goodwill.

Right now, our Maple Valley, WA store is seeking an Assistant Store Manager!
Position Summary: The Assistant Store Manager provides direct supervision and leadership to all retail supervisors and hourly retail team members who have access to the vault, registers, or cash handling functions. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the retail store, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, exceptional customer service, and a safe and productive work environment. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to achieve sales, operational, staffing, and customer experience goals while supporting the mission and values of Goodwill.
Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics. Ability to write creatively and articulately with an emphasison tact and diplomacy.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra when working on spreadsheets. Ability to create and manage departmental budget .
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledgeofMicrosoft Office products, specifically Word,Excel,and PowerPoint.
Other Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Assistant Store Manager
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Washington State Driver’s License required
Other Qualifications: Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
