Position Overview

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Key responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting customers in a positive manner and resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates on operating practices and procedures.
• Unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Assisting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supporting loss prevention efforts.
• Assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Preferably store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and meet demands of walking, standing, stooping, etc.
• Flexibility to work full-time including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills in customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
