Position Overview

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to sales floor.
• Support in ordering merchandise and handling record-keeping tasks such as payroll, scheduling, and deposits.
• Contribute to loss prevention efforts.
• Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, and climbing.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational abilities, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
