The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the supervision and delegation of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assists with supervising store employees, managing merchandise presentation, completing paperwork, and preparing deposits. The role also includes stocking and cashiering functions, and other duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets and reducing losses. Must be at least 21 years old.

DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases.
  • Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
  • Assist Store Manager with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and ensuring policy compliance.
  • Manage merchandise according to company processes, including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking, rotating, and building displays.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
  • Implement and maintain planograms; ensure merchandise presentation aligns with established practices and Store Manager’s directions.
  • Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control, security practices, cash procedures; handle refunds, overrides, tills, and deposits.
  • Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
