As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting the Store Manager with daily operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers positively, answering questions and resolving concerns.
• Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure the store is clean, well-stocked, and organized.
• Assist in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates on Family Dollar practices.
• Help unload merchandise, organize, and transfer stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and record-keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and to perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills in customer service, potential development, results orientation, organization, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
