Job summary

Range USA, the nation’s largest operator of indoor shooting ranges, is seeking an Assistant Store Leader in Lenexa, KS. This salaried role reports to the Store Leader and drives sales, daily operations, and a safe, customer-focused environment.

You will lead a team, manage scheduling, oversee cash handling and inventory tools, ensure ATF and safety compliance, and coach colleagues to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail sales or leadership experience
• Led teams of 10 or more associates
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and inventory management tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to build relationships and deliver customer-focused solutions
• Experience in coaching, performance management, and team development

Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Experience: Support achievement of store sales goals through exceptional customer service and team execution
• Sales & Customer Experience: Ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience in both retail and range environments
• Sales & Customer Experience: Maintain merchandising, pricing, promotional, and visual presentation standards
• Operations & Store Management: Scheduling to align staffing with customer traffic and business needs
• Operations & Store Management: Daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and receipts and dispositions
• Operations & Store Management: Oversee store and range facility standards, staffing, cleanliness, and functionality
• Operations & Store Management: Ensure proper use of systems including POS, inventory, and scheduling tools
• Operations & Store Management: Oversee and support range maintenance team operations
• People Leadership & Development: Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring top talent
• People Leadership & Development: Onboarding and training of new team members
• People Leadership & Development: Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management
• People Leadership & Development: Help develop associates through goal setting and development plans
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to ATF regulations and all internal firearm handling policies
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable state and local regulations
• Compliance & Safety: Serve as a Safety Leader by promoting a culture of accountability and safe practices
• Administrative & Execution: Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and record-keeping
• Administrative & Execution: Manage timekeeping, scheduling approvals, and attendance tracking
