Job summary

Kate Spade New York is seeking an Assistant Store Leader to partner with the Store Leader in driving store productivity and profitability. You will set the tone on the sales floor, elevate service through omni-channel and virtual selling, and foster an inclusive environment where associates thrive as their authentic selves.

You will recruit, coach, and develop diverse talent; monitor KPIs; handle store operations, scheduling, and payroll budgeting while ensuring brand standards and exceptional

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management experience (fashion/lifestyle or comparable environment).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experienced with retail systems.
• Ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and react quickly.
• Strong English language proficiency. (for EU)

Responsibilities

• Client & Service Leadership: model service behaviors, lead a client-focused environment, drive omni-channel selling.
• Team Development & Leadership: recruit, onboard, coach, and manage performance; set goals and KPIs.
• Sales & Business Planning: own sales plans/forecasts; collaborate with teams to optimize strategies.
• Brand & Visual Standards: maintain Kate Spade aesthetics and store standards; communicate feedback on trends.
• Operational Excellence: manage opening/closing, cash handling, staffing, safety, and loss prevention.
