Job summary

Rural King is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This role partners with the Store Manager to drive sales, develop associates, oversee merchandising and inventory, ensure operational excellence, and create a safe, engaging shopping environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory, scheduling and customer service.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze business performance and drive operational improvements.
• Proficiency with retail technology and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily retail operations alongside Store Manager and drive sales performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop associates ensuring high performance and succession planning.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support promotions, loyalty programs, and community engagement.
• Promote safety, compliance, and asset protection; support inventory audits and loss prevention initiatives.
