POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Position Title: Assistant Store Leader

Reports To: Store Leader

Classification: Full-Time/Exempt/Salaried + Incentives

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Store Leader contributes to Range USA's success by leading a team of engaged store associates to create and maintain the Range USA experience for customers. The Assistant Store Leader is responsible for supervising the workplace, being the Safety Leader in the store, ensuring staff and customer safety, managing sales performance, ensuring compliance with all ATF requirements, and maintaining brand integrity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Achieve high sales performance through excellent customer service and professionalism.
  2. Monitor compliance with company policies, including safekeeping of funds, personnel practices, and store maintenance.
  3. Serve as the Safety Leader, coaching staff on safety practices and communicating safety issues to the Main Office.
  4. Manage recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes using the applicant tracking system.
  5. Oversee onboarding for new hires with support from the Store Leader.
  6. Manage scheduling, approve timesheets, and handle absences.
  7. Train and develop employees in sales processes and customer interactions.
  8. Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance assessments.
  9. Ensure effective communication within the team and with the Main Office.
  10. Address issues affecting service, efficiency, and productivity.
  11. Ensure strict compliance with ATF and internal firearm handling policies.
  12. Maintain OSHA & EPA compliance per regulations.
  13. Manage range maintenance team personnel.
  14. Monitor completion of online training modules.
  15. Oversee safe counts and deposits.
  16. Handle store opening and closing procedures.
  17. Support staff responsibilities as needed.
  18. Collaborate with Operations Specialist to complete responsibilities.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, inventory management, and POS systems.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building ability.

  • Experience in performance management and goal setting.
  • High competency in relevant work areas, with clear goal-setting and knowledge sharing.
