Job summary

Dollar Tree is looking for an Assistant Store Manager in Irving, TX to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will help run day-to-day store activities and ensure a strong, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities include supervising associates, handling opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining safety and store standards. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed; support store associates.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
