Meijer Howell, MI is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Director to oversee daily store operations across food and general merchandise. You will plan, direct, and supervise the team, manage staffing, training, and performance, and implement strategies to improve customer service and profitability.

You will build a culture of care, lead performance reviews, recruit talent, and ensure safety standards and store standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
• Strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall store operations and manage performance across food and general merchandise.
• Direct plans, staffing, and training for leaders and team members.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety standards and merchandising plans.
• Engage with the community and act as a Meijer brand ambassador.
• Drive store profitability and results.
