Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Assistant Store Director in White Lake, MI to guide day-to-day operations, planograms, and staff development. You will drive customer service, profitability, and community presence while upholding the Meijer brand values.

Deliver strategic leadership across store teams, recruit and train leaders, and ensure operational excellence with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking to improve store performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations and plans across food and general merchandise.
• Direct hiring, training and development of store team members.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service, sales and profitability.
• Ensure displays, planograms, and merchandising maximize sales and brand standards.
• Lead communication and engagement to retain and develop talent.
