Job summary

Envirotest, the operating subsidiary of Opus Inspection, is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager to support the VEIP program in Bel Air, MD. The role features flex hours (Monday-Saturday, 40 hours) with daytime shifts and a pay rate of $19.00 per hour plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Responsibilities include assisting the Station Manager in daily operations, supervising station staff, handling cash, scheduling breaks, and ensuring safety and good public relations

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of test procedures.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent with higher education desirable.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organization skills with keen attention to detail.
• Must communicate politely with the general public.
• Previous customer service and cash-handling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the inspection station per company objectives.
• Share accountability for station operations including scheduling and cash handling.
• Cover station manager duties in their absence.
• Maintain good public relations with customers and community.
• Assist with opening and closing the facility.
• Ensure safety for customers and employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
