Job summary

Envirotest, the operating subsidiary of Opus Inspection, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Maryland VEIP facility in Owings Mills. The role involves assisting in station operations, customer service, and public relations, with duties including opening/closing, scheduling, and ensuring safety for customers and staff.

The position is full-time, with flex hours and 40 hours per week, paid at $19.00 per hour, plus a benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of vehicle emissions testing procedures.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education desirable.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interact politely with the public.
• Customer service and cash-handling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the inspection station to meet objectives.
• Share accountability for station operations including troubleshooting, cash handling, and scheduling.
• Assumes the responsibilities of the station manager in his or her absence.
• Maintains good public relations between the Company, employees and the community.
• Assists in opening and closing the facility.
• Ensures safety for customers and employees.
• Performs duties as assigned by the Station Manager and District Manager.
