Job summary

Epstein Architecture, Engineering and Construction seeks an Assistant Site Superintendent for a large Manteno, IL project. You will coordinate site activities with foremen and subcontractors, promote safety, and align plans with design and engineering teams.

Experience with industrial facilities is a plus; design-build is welcome but not required. The role emphasizes safety, field documentation, and coordination across teams, with competitive compensation and a 100% ESOP culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience with field construction and safety procedures.
• Ability to read construction documents.
• Familiar with scheduling techniques (CPM).
• Proficient in MS Office and Procore preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Superintendent and Project Manager with subcontractor labor, equipment, materials, and general conditions.
• Maintain construction safety and OSHA compliance.
• Implement site utilization plan and determine crew sizes.
• Ensure schedules are maintained by trade subcontractors.
• Prepare field documentation and daily/weekly reports.
• Coordinate design and field construction interfaces.
• Promote relationships with contractors and vendors.
