Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to oversee front-line staff and cleaning activities across designated facilities. The role involves close collaboration with managers to ensure productivity, safety, quality, and client satisfaction while maintaining staffing levels and daily operations.

The position requires at least one year of supervisory and janitorial experience, with preferred training in cleaning or building management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned area or building.
• Directly supervise front-line employees.

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage employee meals and breaks.
• Coordinate with Managers to maintain staffing and operations.
• Coach and discipline employees in coordination with Managers.
• Set a positive, professional example for staff.
• Conduct safety and quality audits.
• Assign tasks based on requirements.
• Inspect completed work for ABM and client standards.
• Train new workers and ongoing training for existing staff.

Overview

Assistant Site Manager is responsible for the direct oversight of front-line employees, in close cooperation with Manager(s) aswell as cleaning of designated facilities according to Company assignment.

Compensation:

$40.00 per hour pay rate.

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Responsibilities

• The Assistant Supervisor is responsible for an assigned area or a building.

• Responsible for the direct oversight of front-line employees.

• Responsible for ensuring that productivity levels and customer service requirements arebeing met and that front-line employees are complying with all safety, quality, andcompliance standards established by the Company and by our clients

• Responsible for directing and cleaning designated areas within appropriate timeframes.

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skill

• Manage employee lunches and breaks.

• Maintain communication with Managers to maintain optimum staffing levels, meet clientexpectations, and coordinate facility operations.

• In close coordination with Manager(s), effectively coach, counsel and discipline employees

• Set positive, professional example for workforce.

• Conduct safety and quality audits.

• Assign tasks to front line team members based on job requirements or special assignments.

• Inspect all completed work for conformance to ABM and customer standards.

• Train new workers and oversee on-going training of existing employees.

Qualifications

• One year of janitorial experience

• Training in the cleaning industry or building management field is preferred.

• Ability to effectively communicate with team members verbally and in writing

• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and to accomplish objectives

• Ability to handle and resolve problems

• May be required to work overnight shifts and weekends
